Yeah I noticed this. I grew up poor and got to upper middle class and some of the middle class friends got jelly. Is it my fault instead of blowing my money on toys I got in real estate first.

So? Their parents wanted better for their kid(s). I know people who got money from their folks and blew it while others did stuff with it to keep getting wealthy. I'll be giving my kids my money when I'm gone.

Which is sad becuase emulating what they did for success will probabaly get you alot further in life then whining to the goverment to take it all away.

A lot of people in the middle class don't have this understanding and feel you need to pull yourself up by your own bootstraps and take care of yourself on your own. And as such, they look down upon those who inherit wealth. This is horribly erroneous.

Inheritance is part of how the richest stay rich, by passing wealth down the generations and fostering the family to build upon the wealth. This should never be something to look down on or insult. Both the richest and the poorest understand that the generation of wealth is a team effort.

The poorest strive to create an environment where their kids can focus on learning what they need to move up the ladder, from simple things like making sure they eat to finding any kind of support so they can get an education or work from home. The richest do the same but with more resources, getting access to the best education to being able to work where they want with the connections granted.

I dont have an issue with rich people per se.

I dislike the fact the extremely rich are above the law.

I dislike the fact that as they become more and more extremely rich it becomes easier and easier to affect the economy and accrue more wealth, which leads to a culture of money endlessly being siphoned to the top, continually increasing the wealth gap.

I hate that people can accrue so much wealth that they could live off it until the day they die 50 times over while people struggle to make ends meet.

Most of all I dislike smug rich people who think that their hard work paying off means that poor people dont work hard while ignoring any luck they had along the way and, in most cases, an unfairly favorable starting point. Celebs are actually a good example of people who work hard but got extremely lucky too. Most singers/actors/athletes work hard, but theres only so much you can do on your own.

Rich people are disproportionately responsible for the Holocene extinction event, is basically my problem with them
