Are you concerned about these animals going extinct?

While Conservative Prime Minister Scott Morrison was cooling heels in Hawaii and causing outrage by not returning sooner to deal with the Bushfires ravaging Australia, the country has seen more than 400,000 animals KILLED pushing the rare species to EXTINCTION as feral cats move in to pick off the starving anials

Kangaroo Island, had a rare population of tiny marsupials called dunnarts as ecologist, Pat Hodgens had set up cameras to capture the insect eating mouse creatures

2 fires burnt through the site earlier melting cameras and fences set up to record and protect the rare creatures and incinerating their habitat as Australia is dealing with record scorching temperatures

The island again was torched along the south coast destroying 3 other wildlife sites that protect these endangered animals

On Saturday, the island was on high alert again as 2 people were killed in the fire that has burnt up 100,000 hectares and it's not known how many dunnarts survived

It's not known how many species were killed and how many are now EXTINCT as ecologists fear they were all wiped out asdozens of threatened species had been hit hard

480 million animals had been KILLED in New South Wales alone including mammals, birds and repitles

Many of the affected animals are likely to have been killed directly by fire with others succumbing due to depletion of food and shelter and protection

Australia is the only great landmass to contain 3 major groups of mamals, marsupials that have pouches, egg laying monotreme sand placental mammals

The continent has 244 species of wildlife found nowehre else

34 species and subspecies have become extinction the last 20 years and this latest habitat loss will skyrocket

The fires have pushed back years of conservation eforrts as the true loss of animal loss won't be known until the end...and australia has not seen the last of a scorching summer yet.
