Great fucking movie.

10/10 kino

My top 3 movies of 2019:
1. Parasite
2. The Irishman
3. Joker

It does make me wonder tho: who would Jimmy Hoffa endorse in the 2020 election if he was still alive today.

I need to get on that. That 3.5 hours is intimidating.

Yeah, I took a break to cook some food and take a piss, but I loved the entire movie. I can definitely see why some people would find it slow, but I loved it. Theres a good amount of violence in it, but its not Casino or Goodfellas level of violence. But when the violence comes, its pretty impactful.

The coldest line in the movie:

Dont call.

I liked it, but in retrospect, I'd probably give it a 7.5-8/10.

There was a viral method of splitting into a miniseries when it came out. I watched it this way and it was perfect!

I liked it, even though the story really wasn't that interesting. The acting and stuff obviously made it great though.

Way more heart than most of Scorcese's projects of late. I saw it two months ago at the DGA headquarters, and had to wait to see if anyone else had the same complaints that I did.

Deniro stomping that guy as a "young man" was really the only scene that bugged me. It had terrific world building. Three hours went by pretty quickly, which I was surprised by. Everyone's performances were strong. Every scene that had Joe Pesci in it I just kept thinking to myself,"damn I miss seeing this guy act in movies."

The flick had way more heart than I was expecting. The ending was pretty sad man. The movie itself could've probably been trimmed down a little bit and the story wouldn't have suffered. The runtime will probably prevent me from ever watching it again.

Martin Scorcese is truly a master at what he does, but ultimately I think The Irishman just goes to show no matter how talented you are at something you need to listen to other people.

Acting was top notch.
Cinematography was top notch.
Mood/Ambiance was top notch.
Story was kind of forgettable.

Overall I'd give it a 7.5/10
