The resolution is to listen to all of the main series (numbered) Final Fantasy soundtracks over the course of 2020. This includes DLC,Expansion Pack, and PLUS Soundtracks (examples being the DLC from FFXV, the Expansions of the two online games, and FFIX OST PLUS). Sequels (Such as X-2) are being excluded.

The List and versions of soundtracks as noted:

Final Fantasy I (PlayStation Version)
Final Fantasy II (PlayStation Version)
Final Fantasy III (DS Version)
Final Fantasy IV (DS Version)
Final Fantasy V (SNES Version)
Final Fantasy VI (SNES Version)
Final Fantasy VII (PlayStation Version)
Final Fantasy VIII (PlayStation Version)
Final Fantasy IX (PlayStation Version)
Final Fantasy IX OST PLUS
Final Fantasy X (Remastered)
Final Fantasy XI (Rise of the Zilart, Chains of Promathia, Treasures of Aht Urhgan, Wings of the Goddess, and Seekers of Adoulin)
Final Fantasy XI OST PLUS
Final Fantasy XII (Remastered)
Final Fantasy XIII
Final Fantasy XIII OST PLUS
Final Fantasy XIV (Battle Tracks, Field Tracks, Eorzean Frontiers, Before Meteor, A Realm Reborn, Before The Fall, Heavensward, The Far Edge of Fate, Stormblood, and Shadowbringers)
Final Fantasy XV
Final Fantasy XV Volume 2
Final Fantasy XV Episode Ardyn

The only thing comparable to this would be listening to the entire soundtrack of SSBU which apparently totals out at almost 1,000 tracks.

No, listen to the Original Soundtrack. Remastered sounds totally different and not always in a good way.

There are some that are better remastered and some in the original that are better.

it's pretty doable. the first four games have pretty short soundtracks i believe. they get longer as the series goes in but you can easily knock them out over time by listening to them in the car or something.

i recommend the bravely default ost if you're into game soundtracks. it surpasses most if not all of the final fantasy games.

I have played all of the main games but XI and XIV but have loved the soundtracks. I actually bought the 4CD version of FFXV earlier this year. I probably will listen at home for all to keep track better.

Yesterday, I listened to the first 16 tracks of FFI's soundtrack. Chaos Temple, Matoya's Cave, and the series main theme are highlights of the soundtrack so far. The music in the series is great as always.

Challenge on the original version is better. I do agree. The music that plays when you are fleeing Zanarkand for instance is better on the remastered.

If I remember right, it has a few more tracks is the only reason why.

As of now, the FFI soundtrack is done. Some solid tracks, but when you start to really enjoy them, they end so quickly.

A few tracks into FFII's. I don't remember much about the soundtrack to II in general since it has been many years since I have played it. I remembered the battle theme mainly.

Finished up the FFII Soundtrack. The Rebel Army Theme and Castle Pandemonium are my favorite themes from the soundtrack. FFII's soundtrack is decent, but not as good as FFI's.

Currently around the halfway point of FFIII's soundtrack. Not as many notable tracks on here, but Requiem was decent, but short (like so many of the tracks on here).

I will hit them eventually. I just finished FFIII's soundtrack. Like I and II, it has some decent tracks, but suffer from being really short. However since The Black Mages version of the Final Boss music is on III's soundtrack, it is still very amazing.

Onto FFIV's soundtrack.

FFIV has a great soundtrack. The Red Wings Theme, Theme of Love, Opening (it sounds very similar to XII's version of the main theme, which is a good thing), FFIV Main Theme, and Battle Theme are all great starts for the soundtrack.

Remember, FF9's battle theme is best battle theme.

Is it because of how similar it is to FFI's.

My other favorites are IV, VII, IX, XIII, and XV (Stand Your Ground specifically).

Clash on the Big Bridge. Still amazing every time.
