What obstacles in games make you rage?

For me it's wall run several times, into rope swing, into wall run, into rope swing, into wall run, into double jump, into pray to God you went high enough, far enough to catch the ledge on your billionth try.

Currently playing Arkham Knight and it's pretty cool how the Batmobile can drive straight through trees and even sides of some buildings. Almost nothing stands in your way.

Except this random small pile of sandbags that for some reason is indestructible and stops you dead. Has done this to me a few times driving through the city during missions and drives me crazy each time.

Totally aware of this, and have got through the maze pretty easily in the past because of it. However the last time I tried this, I kept rolling off to the side or missing the jumps. Idk maybe my controller has been worn out or something.

The floor covered in spikes, lava, poison or just plain water (that your character can't swim in for some reason) yet you have to make precise jumps to tiny platforms or else you will die.

I just played Metal Wild Chaos XD. And pretty much everything in that game is to make you rage. I almost beat it twice despite that.

Few things it has

  • 15 minute levels on first run with no Checkpoints


  • Some instant death attacks that kill you before their animation even appears.


  • Start off levels with you being shot at


  • Harsh time limits if not overleveled


  • Boss fight where you just spam and can only win with the right weapons equipped

Does seeing a gap your character could totally go through considering how you can go into smaller places in the world but being stopped by invisible walls being rage inducing?

I was playing Onimusha remastered last week and forgot about the timed sliding puzzle in that game, fuck that noise.

I'm also going to add the Insurmountable Pile of Small Rubble, that's genuinely more offensive than an invisible wall to me.
