Do you?

As far as I can remember I've always known, at least at the most base level, how to read. There's no point in my memory where I was specifically taught to read.

Yeah. They gave us short little booklets in preschool to take home and practice reading. When I was learning to write I got lowercase b and d confused a lot lol

Earliest memory I have about reading was reading Goosebumps and Choose Your Own Adventure in grade 3.

I can't remember anything about actually learning how to read though.

yes. even the first word i learned to read: MITU (spelled meetoo) it's a brand of baby tissue.

it was on my mom's dressing table in her old room in our old house. it was evening. maybe between 6 to 8 PM

i dunno why alot of random memories from childhood are super vivid.

The one really good thing my parents did for me was read to me, basically from the moment I was born. My earliest memories start at 2 1/2, and one of them is the very first Berenstain Bears book.

Nope. I can't remember not knowing how to read. I have no idea when or how I learned. I remember being the only kid in my kindergarten class that could read. Some girl saw me reading a book and was shocked I knew how.

A few times my brother, my mom, or my dad would sit with me and try to teach me things. More so I just picked up bits and pieces and started reading on my own.
