I have a really, really hard time deciding between Raiders and Last Crusade. I think maybe I kinda lean Raiders but could go either way.

While Raiders is a no brainer for first place, for me Temple vs. Crusade comes down to:
Temple has a fantastic opening scene. It's a good change being based on tight, suspenseful action more than globetrotting. The comedy largely works, mostly from Short Round and Indy ("We are going to die"). Crusade has the lame origin sequence, more derivative plot and tone, corny sitcom humor especially from Henry Sr. (who just sucks in general. No interest in Indy's dad). Even the tank sequence is not on the level of the rest of the series (especially when it ends with the old you're sad somebody died then don't realize when they are standing beside you gag). Fighting Nazis is always cool but the movie over all just feels phoned in. I like it ok and don't mean to be too hard on it. They each have their strengths and weaknesses (mostly weaknesses) but it's pretty clear to me which is better.
