I read the book eons ago, but never really watched lost in space. If I had known, I might have. I only realized now cause i'm watching the new show and it was pretty obvious in the first episode and I was like, no way! But way!! It is. The family is even called the Robinsons. And the kid's name is Will (the father in Swiss Family Robinson is William).
