This, but honestly, drinking frequency lowers the risk of hangover. Practice makes perfect.

I feel like something higher in B vitamins and nutrients helps more, like those Naked fruit smoothies, it gives your body a lot more to process and isn't focusing on the alcohol.

Not particularly. They still have a lot of sugar, which contributes to a hangover.

Gatorade and vodka were my only calories that I could get for weeks at a time. I couldn't hold down any water or eat because of stomach issues from drinking. No hangovers because I was a professional alcoholic by then.

Eventually I couldn't pee or poo because my body was taking every single calorie from the gatorade and booze and leaving nothing to come out. Great life......

I chase tequila with beer on a nightly basis for the last who knows how many years. I maybe get hungover once every month. I don't drink water, I eat like a meal and a half per day. I do exercise and eat healthy, and work 50+ hours a week. I drink a lot of zero calorie energy drinks like Bang and Reign. Before that it was Monster zeros.

Fact is everyone is completely different. I'm a functional alcoholic. I wake up most of the time feeling great and well rested, I do my job, go home and get drunk.

Sports drink is a terrible mixer. It can help with a hangover, but sports drinks are more a chaser than mixer. Fruit juice is a good mixer if you want to prevent a hangover. Whatever mixer you use, make sure to drink some water between shots and that you eat a hearty healthy meal before drinking and after drinking.

how do I know if Im an alcoholic or someone that just drinks often? I dont get drunk but I tend to get buzzed like 4-5 nights out of the week?

Honestly it really depends on the person like was said before. An alcoholics body needs booze to stay happy and not freak out. Some people are problem drinkers who drink a lot but can quit whenever they want.

If the thought of taking a week a week off from drinking sounds like hell on earth/impossible then you are probably an alchy like me.

How long have you been doing 5 a week? Do you at least drink something everyday? Honestly it sounds like childs play compared to my 25 shots a day but its not a contest.

A lot of people in AA say they arent alcoholics when they drink like 10 shots a day so who knows. If you take a break, you should have a good idea of what you are.

for a while, it used to be worse when I lived with an alcoholic. Id say Friday, Saturday, Tuesday, and sometimes I might cave on Sunday. Its been worse this week cause of the holidays lol.

I feel you on the alcoholic living situation. My girl and I would go shot for shot for shot at night and still not get drunk. Whenever I would take a shot she would take one like we were trained to do it together, very Pavlovian.

Now that ive stopped, she stopped with me. Well I told her she doesnt have to do that so she just doesnt drink in front of me and doesnt even get drunk at all anymore. I had to go to rehab but she just goes oh Ill cut back like it was nothing. Im over here having seizures and fainting trying to quit lmao.

yep, everyday, my roommate would have either down a pint or 75% of a fifth of whiskey with fire ball shots, a pint of vodka with fire ball shots, or 4 yall boy ipas with a sleeve of fireballs. Idk if he still does it though, but damn.
