So I got a new TV and Im really happy with it, but the only problem is is that it doesnt have any component cable ports. This obviously wasnt a deal breaker since, really, the only things affected by this are my OG Xbox and my Wii (which, if I have to, I can just use the composite cables).

Im just looking for some recommendations on the best way to hook up a component cable to the TV. Is something as simple as using an HDMI adapter the best way?

Probably HDMI and a 3.5mm jack that you connect an adapter to for composite.

For the xbox you could use something like this.

a lot of these kinds of adapters don't work as well as you might hope. they can work, but they can also be unreliable. the best solution would be to find the best quality output to input match between your device and TV and try to find a single cable for it. but it depends on the device and TV.

I had to choose between a really nice-looking TV or something lesser with a port for only two devices that Id need it for that arent absolutely essential, soo..
