I think in my entire life....I've only done it once. And I don't even remember what movie it was for.

Which is weird, because I LOVE movies....but I'd rather just watch the movie.

I have once. I listened to the Family Guy's cast talk on my box set of one of their seasons. Sometimes it was good.

I turned on the commentary for Duke Nukem 3D World Tour full-time. It was actually interesting. You have to interact with a button in-game, so you can turn them on in the menu and not listen to it if you dont want to. I learned quite a lot about the game.

When DVDs started becoming more ubiquitous it was once one of the prominent selling features of having all that extra space for extras and stuff. I remember checking them for some movies that I had.

There's some cool insight into how they think or the creative process for small details you might not have even notice. Much of them seem like a chore to them though.

Depends on the people behind it.

a lot of commentarys are boring as hell, but some people like Kevin Smith make amazing commentaries for their movies. There is basically 7-10 people for every movie he does, and he includes himself, his main producerX and 5-6 members of the cast in the same room.
