Not really, there's usually a pretty big difference between brothers/sisters where one is the "bookworm" and one isn't.

Nope. No one is just "born with intelligence". Barring disability, everyone is born with the same "base" that consists of primal, biological reactions and that is something that must be attended to, reaffirmed, utilized, and constantly improving for it to really mean something to the point where we usually start calling it "intelligence" and that depends 100% on environment and resources.

It has been objectively shown and measured that adopted children have an IQ closer to that of their birth parents than to their adopted parents regardless of economic standing

That's not a great indicator tbh. One of the smartest people I know actually dropped out of high school and does manual labor for a living.

Nope.

Otherwise, you get the implication that there's also a correlation between intelligence and race.

And then there's also the conversation about how we even measure intelligence.

a google search turned this up

https://www.thecut.com/2017/05/genetics-intelligence.html

That doesnt mean there isnt a lot of other stuff going on as well, ranging from early-childhood nutrition to access to early education, but it means that if you want to really understand human intelligence, you cant simply leave out heredity. And this is crucial a belief in a genetic component of intelligence does not inexorably lead to Bell Curvestyle arguments about race and IQ, simply because societys racial categories black, white, Latino do not map as neatly to genetics as most people think.

I think there's at least some correlation. My son isn't quite yet 4 and he is pretty decently ahead of his 5 year old sister (no biological link to me) academically.
