One out of three is. One has been a chef almost as long as I've been alive. Two were just hired and barely know what they're doing.

If you asked when I first started, I'd have said 3 out of 4 (funny enough, the 4th ended up getting fired for incompetence)

As far as the business is concerned, shes been doing this far longer than I have.

Some of them are, some of them aren't, I've got like 10+ any of whom i might interact with more with then the other at any given day.

The other one, yes. He is a brainiac. Probably got perfect scores on SATs and skipped grades and all.

She seems to see a lot of value in me and thinks I add a ton to the business. (we are accountants and she is the corporate controller). I have imposter syndrome and think I'm in a much higher position than I deserve to be in.

I guess her being smarter than me would depend on which one of us is right.

This is an interesting question so I'm going to go job-by-job and see what percentage yes and no end up at.
1st job (cafeteria dishwasher) Yes.
2nd job (retail associate) Yes, best manager I ever had.
3rd job standardized test instructor with three supervisors

1. (immediate boss) Yes, definitely. 2. (Boss's boss) No. He was completely unsatisfied with his current role in the company and was just phoning it in so his performance was far below everyone else's, but he was the boss so nobody could do anything about it 3. (Boss's boss's boss) No. She was completely computer-illiterate and had the worst grammar I've ever seen for any professional. Note that this was a company about teaching grammar. She only had the job due to nepotism and was the least intelligent out of anyone in the office.

4th job (standardized test instructor with different office) No, he was a dope. He would log into the office gmail account and then google weird stupid stuff all day such as "who killed JonBenet Ramsy?" and "half off Denny's coupons" all day, and we knew it was him because he was the only one who kept himself logged into the company gmail account during the day. We could then go into the company gmail history and see what he googled all day and how little time he spent working all day while in his office. We would do this at the end of stressful days and see what he was actually doing while "working" in his office the whole time.

Then we restructured and got an actual good manager, who gets a yes vote.

Then we restructured again and I we had no manager for a few months. That was weird.

5th job (a different education company) 1. (Immediate boss) Yes. 2. (Boss's boss) No. She was the worst manager I've ever had by far. Constantly made everyone feel awful to cover for her own incompetence without providing constructive feedback.

6th job (customer service/tech support) Nos for both my customer service supervisor and tech support supervisor. My manager and most of the company were all so poorly organized. After three months, we hired a person (not a supervisor) from IBM with many years of experience who said it was insane we didn't have a defect tracker, and she coded up a really simple one with limited functionality so we could actually track the tech issues. She wanted us to get a much better one and recommended we change our entire approach, but she wasn't a manager and none of her ideas were listened to. She was the smarter than every manager we had (I was too, but not as smart as her. She doesn't count for the poll though though because she wasn't my supervisor.)

Total: 5/11 yes, 6/11 no

Eh it's hard to say in terms of actual intelligence. Work ethic and maturity on the other hand some are and some aren't.
