...self-defense.
According to her, it's illegal to shoot somebody if they are unarmed, no matter what. I disagreed with that, so she used something that happened to her friend a really long time ago as an example: Her friend's ex-boyfriend broke into her house, beat the fuck out of her, and this prompt her to grab her gun, fired off a shot straight up and scared him off. She ended up getting 5 year for that. The fuck? Am I wrong for thinking there's something seriously wrong with that story? Like, there has to be shit missing there. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

I can see that happening. If you are using the gun for self-defense, then you would use it to shoot the attacker, not up in the air to scare him off.
