Authority figures should be held to a higher (not lower) standard than regular citizens exactly because of the potential that power has to corrupt people. when a student hits another student unprovoked, and authorities witness it, generally he's suspended when a student hits the principal, and authorities witness it, generally he's suspended. occasionally expelled, but often not any more severe than hitting another student. but when a principal hits a student unprovoked and authorities witness it? he's not only fired, but likely will get jail time. when two students fuck, it's just students fucking. but when teacher bangs a boy, that's a rapist and they're going to jail. why do we manage to get this right with kids in school and so wrong with adults? --- LittleBigPlanet is like merging dress-up with a real game. ...
