Amazon no longer lets me choose any shipping speed other than "you can have it delivered when we feel like it or when you feel like it, which will be later than when we feel like it".

Same. In fact, I sometimes get stuff the next day, but I chalk that up to living like 10 miles from an Amazon distribution center.

When I got 1 day shipping from amazon, a lady with her kids in car came with my package at night.

You do realize that this week is the absolute worst week to get a package delivered right?

Yeah, Amazon Prime used to be really legit and half the time stuff would come in one day but if not it definitely was in two.

Last couple years its been sort of within the next week usually. Like once in a while you'll get two days, but usually 3-5.

2 delivery's ago was crappy. at first i was asleep on the one day UPS decided to show up at my house at noon.

i had to call them to have my package delivered on the next service day ie monday. 2nd time they left my stuff on someones porch i had to go over and grab it they couldn't read the number on the door FML.

it was a couple of black friday games, a beanie and dog flea medication.

still have one more delivery to use to make use of prime but not till the end of this week.

I've had maybe two delays in like 50 packages, so it's not too bad at all.

See whenever UPS delivers a package they just throw it (usually literally) on my porch and don't bother to see if someone's home

True, they added a large one in the Pittsburgh area (apparently) and I get some stuff next day even on 2 day shipping due to that.

I rarely if ever have any issues with 2 day shipping, but when I do, I contact Amazon and get 5-10 bucks depending on how late it arrived.

2 day shipping should mean we should get the package 48 hours after we put in the order. It obviously could be more or less than 48 hours as long as it's on the same day where the 48 hours hits.

call them and pretend to be upset. they typically give you credit in your amazon account for late/lost packages

Amazon is great, at this point I'm disappointed if I can't get 1 Day Shipping.
