Context is important. I don't measure how often, or why, people around me apologize, but sometimes it's clear remorse, and sometimes it's a shit.

I think most apologies come from a good place and demonstrating new behavior is better than any apology. This. I accept it immediately if it seems at all sincere. Everyone accepts my apologies btw, because it's very apparent how much I hate upsetting people or doing them wrong. And it's usually mutual. Literally everyone Im around these day has a mutual respect that goes down to the core. All my relationships are like 10 years old minimum.
