Do I really have to buy the collection just for Bioshock 1?

Edit: Oh fuck, I didn't realize it's currently 75% off on the PS store!

I bought 1 and 2 on steam sale back in the years. Never beat either.

You know I will. I've beaten the first one about 4 or 5 times.

I would say 1 is better but 2 is still worth playing and Infinite is amazing.

I really liked Infinite, but it was disappointing to me in some ways. I thought the story, writing, characters, all that was an improvement over the original game, but the gameplay and level design was a significant let down to me.
It's one of those games that I played through once and REALLY liked, but I never felt compelled to go through it again like I did with the original game multiple times. Which was kind of a bummer because at the time, it was my most anticipated game for, like, 3 years.

Did you play Burial at Sea? If not then do that.

I did. Presentation aside, Burial at Sea part 1 was...lackluster.
Burial at Sea part 2 was fucking outstanding from both a story and gameplay standpoint, and I think the base game should take a lot of cues from it, like bringing the weapon wheel back.

2's worth a playthrough for sure. It's got some annoying aspects and the big bad/audio diaries/general atmosphere took a BIG hit in quality, but it's still good and it's another dose of Rapture which I'll take anytime.
