They are much more comfortable for anyone possessing the male anatomy than the disaster known as boxer shorts and the legs on boxer-briefs don't really add anything beneficial. I've always found it amazing that people consider them "old man underwear." My grandfather and father both wore boxers, so I was never under the impression that they were for old people. A lot of people can't seem to get past the fact that they wore underroos / cartoon briefs as a little kid, which is silly. Plenty of kids wear boxers too, but that doesn't make them less for men.
