I've had Photoshop installed on my laptop for 6 years, and I'm in the process of getting a new laptop.
I lost my disc for Photoshop so I was just gonna buy a new one, and all I can find are monthly payment plans and such.

Is it really only a subscription-type deal now? X amount of money per month...forever? That's fucking ridiculous.

Unfortunately yes. They don't even sell the old version that you can keep any more.

You can use the REALLY old version for free........but IIRC it probably doesn't even work on modern hardware.

I hate subscription-only products so much.

We have a subscription to the Adobe Cloud at work and it's honestly pretty great. I have access to every Adobe product.

This is so shitty.

I don't even use it that much to warrant paying, like, 20 bucks a month for it. But it's still a super helpful product that I def need every now and again.
And I can't even transfer over the one I already have to a new laptop, so I'm shit out of luck either way.

Fuck Adobe, man. I'm blown.

Love how Photobucket put a watermark on old images.

Yeah, other image sharing sites are destroying you so let's intentionally make yourself even worse and try to charge for what others do for free.

Well yeah, if your job is paying for it, that's different.

yeah it sucks, I used to use flash alot back when I was in high school to make like animations and games and stuff, school had some classes for that and I took them and it was fun and all, but then they were all like "alright guys all of our products are on a subscription now" and I stopped lol I ain't paying no subscription >:(

Pirate an old version.
Probably the only realistic solution at this point.

Wouldn't even know where to look, tbh, though. Or which version is the best to get.

I use Paint.NET. It's free, and the only thing you have to do is download plugins for some of the more advanced stuff Photoshop can do.
