Online in pictures its hard to tell, in real life you should be able to pick up on your own whether or not someone is trans relatively quickly.

i don't believe there should be a standard time to reveal that, different people different conditions
however, i think some trans people should be more realistic about the issue of bringing it up when they're shooting for a long term relationship

"I shouldn't have to bring it up at all" is not demonstrably reliable...

Then again pi still believed in the trans bathroom predator myth the last I checked, so I can't say I'm surprised.

i dont feel it is necessary to introduce urself with it but i do think it would be important to bring it up early. not because of genitals or sex but more because its a big part of ones life and upbringing and probably shaped him/her/them as a person. please tell me if im wrong.

Why drag it out? If I don't want to talk to girls with dicks, I think it's reasonable to know ahead of time to avoid the "oh, you have a dick? Yyyyyyeeeaaah, I'm not really about all that, sorry."

And no, I don't believe in the "bathroom predator" thing, don't hit me with some bullshit just because I prefer cis women.

when it's apparent that you and the other person are dating, and that there are romantic feelings on either side. if you think it might get to a place where they'd be seeing/touch your junk (or vice versa), you tell them about your status (whether pre or post op, because it matters to some people either way)

Would it be fair for some guys to open up the conversation with "Hi, I'm a dick" just to ensure the other person knows not to waste time talking to them?

Why is it okay to hide that up until then? Why spur on possible attachment and romantic intent, just to spring that on someone at the last second and just hope they're cool with it? The earlier it's communicated, the better; if they're cool with it, great, if not, you've saved each other a sour moment down the line.

Being trans and being a dick aren't the same thing and shouldn't really be compared and weighed equally like that, don't you think? This is a weak, and frankly rude strawman just to try and call me a dick, I think. Not cool.

Tbh it's no different than anything else. If you have a kid, I wanna know up front. If you're fucking around with your ex and don't want something serious, I wanna know. If you're polyamorous, a furry, christian, a harry potter fan, if you vape, drink white claw, these are things I don't want to be hit with late if I start thinking I want to be closer.

For you, maybe they don't seem comparable. But I'm sure plenty of women and men would like to know if the person they're talking to is a dick upfront.

And if you read into that statement that you're the dick, that's on you.

Id say probably best before any intimate act is done. Partially for their own safety as unfortunately some people might get violent.

The instant you know that the other person wants a sexual relationship with the opposite sex. You could tell them if you're pre-op or post-op and ask if it would be all right to continue the relationship on a non-sexual level.

I don't care if they are preop or post op, they need to be up front from the jump.

Not everyone once sexual relations with someone born the same sex that they were.

This is the same argument people use when explaining why you shouldn't honk your horn. Fear of death is bad way for society to communicate.
