All they talk about is how powerful their consoles are. That's it. The XBox One. The XBox One X. The XBox X Series. How powerful they are. How great the graphics are. How powerful what they make is. Did I mention their stuff is powerful.

This is why people have left them in droves, since 2013. Wtf.

If you have a gaming PC there was really no need to get an X-Box One. It seemed like all of the Microsoft exclusives were also available for PC.

Phil Spencer just said they don't really care if they sell hardware, they are moving towards taking everything to the cloud and becoming the most accessible gaming platform. I think 2021 is gonna be a big year for them. Sony has like 2 exclusives worth caring about, everything else is accessible on PC so it is playable on Xbox through your pc and Steam (yes xbox has Steam access now).

Can the ps4 play Steam games yet or are they behind the curve on that too? My dualshock battery shit out on me so I haven't touched mine since God of War came out

Like.... anyone that knocks on MS because of their console sales is a moron because they've been saying for a while now they don't give a shit about hardware and would rather xbox be about being able to play however you want wherever you want. I'm about to play some Greedfall on my phone because my kid is hogging the tv. I expect the XSeX to be their last console before they go fully cloud based then you can just sub to xbox live on a Switch or w.e is out then.

This. Their reveal of the Xbone was embarrassingly bad. The backlash made them change a bunch of stuff about it before launch, but the "ps4 looks great" meme was also a thing and everyone was on the Sony train at that point.

Not if that's the only thing you have to work with. Historically, systems with superior specs tend to under-perform compared to their competitors. The Game Boy beat ll of its competitors, PS1 beat the N64, Wii beat the 360 and PS3, Vita wasn't even in the same league as the 3DS, etc. The PS4 being so successful this time around was a rare exception due to both Nintendo and Microsoft fucking up early on.

Not quite. The issue wasn't just the name, but the fact that all their marketing focused on the controller. When it was first unveiled, they didn't even give us a good luck at what the console looked like. It was a tiny box in the corner of the screen.

sony has only a hand full of good first party games that they actually USE

and MS has halo

both need to keep boasting about the power they have (and with PC gaming only growing well......)

Other than "to sell Nintendo hardware " is there any reason Nintendo games couldn't be on PC?

It's not like Nintendo consoles are technically superior to PCs they just have a crazy loyal fanbase

I'm pretty sure some Nintendo fans would get bitten by rabid bears if Nintendo endorsed it
