Inkling uptilt is inconsistent at times. Some characters it completly whiffs even if they're in front of her.

There really are, and MUs are extreme in this game.

I can understand, especially as a Doc player. Doc has it rough in a lot of MUs generally due to his poor mobility and terrible recovery. He still retains Mario's framedata with added power but it doesn't overcome his weaknesses. Last time you were saying Isabelle's rod is broken, I stand that the move is actually pretty mediocre and not worth the trade off with Villager's lloid, but against Doc it's a nightmare.

Rod is terrible if your opponent is on stage because you can shield it, it would be pretty good otherwise. It destroys certain characters who have no choice but to recover to ledge, though, when placed just below it.

are you really this mad when pacman is generally considered an easy top 15 character and is wayyyy better than the belmonts? the belmonts are more or less just skill check characters that are only really good against characters with extremely bad recoveries

the belmonts are really good with ledgetraps but there is plenty of counterplay to holy water if you're good at the game, and their offstage is so incredibly bad that they can die at like 30% off the simplest of edgeguards

Well Viewmaster plays doctor Mario so he lacks the privilege of edgeguarding the Belmonts. Combined with his poor mobility it makes it harder for Doc to maneuver the projectile wall.

up-B comes out instantly, trades with everything offstage favorably because it's one of the best recoveries in the game, just really absurd frame data all around

I don't like how unpunishable his down smash is and it buries too. Otherwise Ant always comes and beats than leaves, that's his signature call

Inkling can play really degenerate, especially online. They'll camp by the ledge and anytime you try to approach her she'll throw out splattershot. They also throw a lot of splatbombs and spam roller anytime they see opportunity. I just play straightforward with the character and I rarely use side b because I hate bury moves.

Also landing the dair spike is satisfying.

It's a pretty good tool. Good KO power, range and speed as well as a being good at the ledge. Well good KO power if you hit the hilt.
