Where did you drop it, and why?

If you've only seen the first season of the BanG Dream anime or dropped it in the middle of that season, then I'd say it might be worth giving it another chance. That first season was pretty bad, but the mobile game and the Garupa Pico chibi shorts (which are hysterical btw) gave the franchise enough life that it got two more seasons, which IMO have both been fantastic. The writing has improved significantly, there are more characters in the story besides just Poppin' Party (who are honestly kind of hit-or-miss) and the concert scenes look and sound fantastic.

Those later seasons also decided to go full CG so the normal part of the show matches the CG they use in the concert scenes, which removes the jarring transition from 2D to concert CG that most music/idol shows have. The show actually looks really good in that style too.

uhh never mind I was mistaking it for a different anime. The girl on the left's hairstyle made me think of Kill la Kill but upon research I see the anime you're referring to has a character with a similar hairstyle.

They're not doing anything inappropriate in that gif (asking to do something inappropriate together later on isn't the same thing) plus they're both already close friends and consenting adults of legal age. They're both 25-26 years old in the series, so it's not a problem.

So let's say either Byleth isn't on the Black Eagles route in this one (so Edelgard isn't in her class and isn't her student) or it takes place farther into the story after they're out of classes and in the middle of a freaking war. There, issue resolved.

Nu-uh. Even if Edelgard isn't on her class, it's still inappropriate to have relations between faculty members and students.
If it were her post timeskip design everything would be fine, but I'm not letting this one fly, sir and or madam.
