You're walking along a bridge one day when suddenly a terminator rushes past and scoops up your pet. The terminator is communicating with someone and says "I have secured the package, will proceed to the location before wig-" when suddenly BLAM he hit in the face with an iron pipe that happened to be there, causing the terminator to drop your pet and be knocked over the side of the bridge.

The man wielding the iron pipe is none other than Kyle Reese wearing wet clothes stolen from a washing line who says he traveled back in time to destroy your pet because your pet inadvertantly causes Skynet to go rogue and wipe out 97% of mankind. He says that begrudgingly your pet has to be eliminated

You then notice that the terminator has gotten back up and is rushing back towards you, meanwhile Kyle is going for your pet with his pipe.
