What is the difference between free will and the delusion of free will? Does that affect how you or the world operates?

Going backwards: An advanced AI presumably may be changed at the code level, turned off and on fairly easily, and has demonstrated deterministic behavior (to a degree). We do not.
I don't believe in free will, but I do believe arguments against it are often reckless.

Freewill is what the gods have. Free reign over their forms, dimensions, and personalities. They are limited by nothing and decide every aspect of their existence. Humans, due to design, will always have hard set behavior limitations, so our existence is designed by attributes beyond our control. The delusion is failing to recognize this fact and not understanding the law of causality and what agency is.

We can change on a code based level. Genetic mutations and behavior alterations due to damage and stimuli are frequent and common.

We can be turned off and on. Narcolepsy is a condition where some people can have it done on command.

We got chloroform, drugs that induce sleep, etc. We run on chemicals, different from code, but can still be manipulated if you have the know how.

Idk how to address the last point. All of sociology, psychology, economics, gastrology and even biology to an extent are deterministic sciences for human behavior and reactions. We can induce horniness and whatever we want with food in gastrology. We can use people socio-economic conditions to predict people life circumstances and direction to a good degree. Psychology can predict behaviors, and biology outlins our life cycles and our behaviors during these times.
