Shit don't even look right on him. Cid looks like he should be using a giant wrench or be the gunman of the group and they should have made Vincent the Dragoon of the group. And he has guns laying around in his home.



I mean there's no backstory to him even being a capable Pikeman? Did he learn to use it early stage with Shinra or something?

He's a dragoon.

He started with a pipe to use as a lever around those fuel tanks. Then he got mugged, and defended himself with it. And that's how he started to like poles and spears.
