I might pick 2 other Level 2 spells. Since I have Devil Sight, I guess I should get Darkness.

And no, I'm not getting Eldritch Blast.

Everyone takes EB with Warlock. I need to get some more info on my patron as well

  • I am very religious and take my pact very strongly
  • I am a hunter that is more at home in the dark
  • Went with Intelligence as my second for all of that. History, Arcana. Religion
  • I like to attack the mind a lot

I just don't want to sit there shooting EB all over the place. That isn't my character. I am like Itachi, I guess, from Naruto, but with character traits kind of like that one guy that is super religious about his killings.

Set up Darkness and just wreck havoc since I can still see. Mind fuck people over. I can talk to them with my mind, and I have really good talking skills

I just don't know what kind of weapon I want. Dex based, I guess

I just like making characters. I have lots and lots of them. I just wanted too see what sort of things I could do with this one so I know which direction I want to go with it

I'm planing out my characters so I'm better prepared at the table

Might as well go pact of the blade if you don't want EB

I did go Pact Of The Blade or are you talking about Hex Blade from the DLC [I can't spell it. X's Guide To Everything]

Oh i didn't read the thing properly, font is way too small.

Yeah enjoy pact of the blade, it's not nearly as strong as EB but who cares.

I always hated how they went from Wisdom and Intelligence to Charisma being the important stat for a magic user. It never made sense to me.

Only if you Sorcerer or Warlock. I prefer Wizard.

I think Bards are based on CHA as well. Yep

Intelligence is for Wizards
Wisdom is for Cleric and Druid
Charisma is for Bard, Warlock and Sorcerer

But Paladins need Charisma as well for their spells, Rangers need Wisdom, Arcane Trickster Rogues need Intelligence and I'm not going to look up the rest

But yeah, it seems Charisma has more spells

It makes sense for the ones that do use it. Charisma is the force of your personality. Warlocks would need it to bargain with the powerful beings that grant them their power. Bards would need it for just obvious reasons. For paladins, it's a reflection of the strength of their conviction.

I don't really know why sorcerers use it tho

I always think of Charisma as Ego, or force of will, not physical attractiveness.

That said, they certainly went out of their way to make Charisma a useful stat instead of a dump stat that only Paladins took because they were forced to. Still, Wizards have access to the big guns like Wish and Meteor Swarm, which are only available to Sorcerers otherwise.

Depending on the edition, Sorcerers only have access to either a smaller version of the Wizard Spellbook, or less unique spelks from the same spellbook.

Warlocks and Bards have a much smaller spellbook than Wizards as well.

Aside from multi-classing or prestige classes, no class has more available spells than Wizards.

^ Maybe you got confused by how I said that. I worded it wrong

What I meant is that Charisma has the most Classes that use it for their casting. Not more spells
