There is, far as I understand, an increased risk of violent crime from schizophrenic patients, but it's a fairly small increase and nowhere near what modern media portrays it. Iirc, schizophrenic people are more likely to be victims of crime than victimizers, though the addition of paranoia might change that, idk.
