I figure "pitchers" could be, given that just like straight guys, them getting laid is wholly dependent on finding someone who wants their D.
Whereas "catchers" probably don't have the same issue because much like straight women, they just have to put it out there and interested parties will literally line up to try and get it. And before someone asks, yes, the same problem likely affects some gay women too. Open ports are always going to get the most trade, but that doesn't mean they take in every ship that comes calling.
