A huge part of successful leadership is understanding the skill set of people serving under you and proper delegation of tasks. Under Holdo is Poe, a known loose cannon, who is a hot head and prone to rash decision making. Instead of bringing him at least partially into the loop (which should have been done anyway since he was an officer on your ship) so he understands that there is a plan and a bigger picture, we are going to bench him and keep him in the dark so he can assume the worst. That's just fucking bad leadership. Ok fine, maybe she's a brilliant tactician but a poor leader, fine, develop that, let's have some exposition explaining that.
