Its honestly Disney's fault. If that movie aired maybe a few weeks before or after it did it would have been a hit. It was up against a Harry Potter movie and a Die Hard movie iirc.

It was good.
another less notable one I like is The Black Cauldron even though it muddles up the first two Prydian books pretty thoroughly --- I pray god will curse the writer, as the writer has cursed the world with this beautiful, stupendous creation, terrible in its simplicity, irresistible in truth ...
