A big reason why I don't like having lots of people over is because after a certain number of guests it becomes okay to keep your shoes on.

I have two dogs, so the amount of dirt tracked in on my shoes is pretty negligible in the grand scheme of things, and also I don't wear uncomfortable shoes or spend my days walking through bodily fluids

My husband does this sometimes and it's annoying, but he will usually take them off if I remind him. I think I'm more prone to noticing or caring about these things because growing up shoes in the house was a BIG no-no and I would have to ask all my friends to do it.
