I think the extreme end of both is pretty much equal, but just mild day to day stuff I'd rather be constipated

Diarrhea definitely. The pains are much worse and last longer and it's harder to treat. I had Pancolitis a couple of months ago and it was the worst time of my entire life.

I've never really felt BAD after diarrhea. Sure it is a rough 30 or so minutes and maybe my ass is a little raw, but that is about. Never am I really in pain through the experience, just inconvenienced.

I have a lot of experience with both. I hate diarrhea more. Thankfully I barely get it anymore. I found the perfect mix of my pain meds and miralax.

I tore my anus once because I was that constipated. Diarrhea sucks but I don't feel like I'm going to die in the middle of it. If you're constipated enough it becomes an intestinal blockage.
