Do you ban the Quickening or do the people using Calculators not know how to pull that off?

A lot of things are banned in the AI battles.

Quick is a fantastic spell that not many people use. One of my solo Ramza runs had him as a Time Mage with Draw Out and Teleport. Move, cast Quick, move to the middle of a group and Draw Out

I even beat that one level with the two switches for that dam in 1 turn thanks to Quick. Just Ramza. You just need a title luck on the first teleport

Maybe it was 2 Turns to bait the first unit to move off the switch

Not just those settings. I'm just talking about 1v1. Most classes in this game can beat a Calculator 1v1. Even a Wizard with Math Skill can be beaten easily. People over-hype them [And by them I don't even mean the Class. I mean Math Skill on anything] because they are clearly the best when it comes to clearing the game.

But Math Skill is very easy to defend against, the mobs you fight simply are not able to handle them at all because they made them all terrible in the story. None of them come with any good abilities.

Honestly, I put almost no stock in 1 vs. 1. But granted, a low faith character invalidates almost half of the job tree in that type of comparison.

5 vs. 5 a calculator remains extremely potent even if the enemy is low faith, because they can still play excellent support for their own team.

It's not even just 1v1

Pick a team of 4 and I'll pick a team of 4. Go ahead and take Math, you still won't beat me ^_^d

I was going to say, pretty much any class/skill set is going to get stomped if the opponent has been specifically set up to counter them every way possible, so it doesn't seem fair to hold that against Calculators/Math Skills only.
