Okay now we're gonna make you find some fucking keys because the chairman is uncharacteristically up to some bullshit that doesnt make sense. This and the cutscenes to follow will take up the bulk of the last part of the game. Wait, what? Why?
Aight you found the key, eavesdrop on some nonsense conversation that means literally nothing but we need to have a big bad, might as well make it the creepy chairman with the beer belly.
Okay, go back to the stadium and fuck up the champion. Sounds great.

Wait, you can't. You gotta go back to the beginning area of the game. Remember those dogs? Yeah you need them.

Chairman unleashed a super powerful pokemon for plot- I mean energy reasons. Unlimited energy, sounds great. Battle chairman. Then battle that shit pokemon TWICE.

Now you can battle the champion but guess what, he's like 10 levels above everyone you just faced lol the only challenging battle in the game and none of my pokemon died.

Stories in these games are usually bad but this one was legit awful.
