And occasionally (Often) Racist. I know this is known but today was my first time actually visiting it. Its so... not me. Every post is sure to win the debate. Until the next post comes. I can never know whats going on because the pace is so fast. I know I sound like a dumbass, but I was surprised to find a board more toxic than the splatoon 2 board.

If nothing else, they keep quite current, there.

The system boards have always been awful, so I guess it shouldn't surprise me that it's an alt-right hotbed nowadays.

I stopped visiting the politics board a while back. Then I officially retired from political discussion on CE, as well.

I'm better off this way. It's too easy to get sucked into a quip-off where nobody is saying anything productive while a bunch of hecklers choose sides and add to the chaos.

There has never once in the history of the Gamefaqs politics board been a discussion that produced a fundamental change in a person's viewpoint via reasonable and patient discussion.

while it's quite clear there aren't political bots - and gamefaqs is not significant enough to warrant their presence - there have been blatant prc apologists present for at least a decade that seemingly appear out of nowhere in topics criticizing china, even when it's clearly in the wrong

they'll post good news articles from time to time, but the discussions usually turn toxic pretty quick

there are a few hardcore dedicated trolls that post some really inane garbage though, it's funny. thousand+ karma users that just post the stupidest shit you can think of, and it's the kind of stuff that actually follows the context of the topic and needs real time to write up. it's a sad, pathetic look into the eyes of people that have nothing better to do
