now that i've had a chance to digest it, as a piece of stand-alone cinema there's no denying it's an incohesive jamble

Yea, its a bad movie overall, but the last 15-minute action scene is one of the most amazing things I've seen and made me so disappointed playing the actual game afterward since nothing nearly as cool or satisfying happens in XV the game.

Heard it was awful. Will watch it when I finally decide to play XV

My understanding is that Final Fantasy XV is a driving simulator in which several teenage brahs go out on a guy's night out while a rugged looking homely guy in a black fedora who is possibly an incel goes 'No! There will be no guy's night out!'

The Niflheim emperor is set up to be such a cool character in Kingsglaive and they don't use him at all in XV even off-screening him on top of that

always liked his lines in the movie "It is a warning to the hand of justice itself, never to loose it's grip" and then when he is leaving with the daemons going ham on Insomnia he has the line about it growing late and wishing not to see the horrors of the night.
