It's crazy how much your wifi gets fucked in an apartment. I used the same modem after moving into a house and the damn thing reaches every room and the garage with zero issues

There are plenty of apps to identify sources of interface and help you switch to a channel with less.

If that doesn't work, buy a booster and put it so it has line of sight with your router and bedroom.

Best solution, IMO, is to just use ethernet whenever possible.

if we play around the router signal is fine. travel to the bedroom start having issues (but it play's fine).

If we wind up building our next house -a real possibility, because there are some access needs- I intend to do the same thing, but for now we're in a condo.

So I use Ethernet-over-powerline to achieve a similar effect. Works well enough. Even seems to have somehow revived a dead ceiling fan remote receiver, though God only knows how that worked.

i was considering that. how do they work? any loss in speed or anything?

we rent our house. if i owned our house, i would definitely go under the floor boards and pull up ethernet cords though the floor and walls. for now, i just have it against the floor boards, hidden in those cord pipe channel things https://www.homedepot.com/p/Commercial-Electric-1-2-Round-Cord-Channel-Kit-A50-4WK/304502797

they match teh floor boards and aren't noticible at first glance, and the covers protect them from wear and tear. its great.

i also use flat ethernet cables. made the whole thing much much easier.
