Every year on Thanksgiving I take 2 to 3 hours to type out personalized messages to everyone I have in my cellphone contact list. Everyone. Family, friends, coworkers, subordinates, directors, and everyone in between.

Each highlights the persons positive characteristics, and as to why I am thankful for them in my life.

Why am I making this topic? Cause even though PotD isnt on my cellphone... theyre still in my life.

Today I am thankful for PotD board. I am thankful for all the different characters with their different perspectives on life. Folks that can be dependent on to keep you updated on the latest, post pics of hot chicks, go the distance arguing politics, and folks that can always be trusted to say what they think.

I am thankful for you all(yes, even Zeus too).

I save those messages for in person conversations or on the phone. I feel like its too much of a personal statement to stuff into a text message that puts the receiver into a situation where they either a) dont respond immediately because its time consuming to respond to something like that on the fly, or b) respond with something like thanks, you too!

Its along the same lines of my personal opinion that breaking up with someone over a text message is a shitty thing to do as its a cop out in avoiding confrontation and the others response.

I'm thankful I'm not American so don't do thanksgiving. Am I doing it right?

If you had said youre thankful youre not an American because of #45 Id believe you. But the way you said it makes me feel like youre jealous you dont get to feast today... or have a day off.

Everyone is busy with their families and such. So its best to do it like this. And I expect the, Thanks, you too! Response. Although some respond more extensively.
