I've only really played Smash(GameCube controller) Mario Maker, Three Houses, and Pokemon recently, so I've had weirdness with my joycon the last few months, but nothing crippling. Just the occasional weird responsiveness trying to menu up and down(After menu, it wouldnt feel responsive trying to menu down for a second).

Now I'm trying to navigate the map in Pokemon and any upward movement if I don't make any downward movement we're sometimes going all the way to the top of the map without trying.

I suppose this is repair time?

Yeah, try recalibrating and try some compressed air, but you're probably screwed. This is what I had and nothing worked.

This has fixed both my left and right now. Apparently they'll most likely start to drift again, but my left is still going strong two months later.

Also yeah it really screws with Pokemon's map since you can't select anywhere if the cursor's still moving.

This isn't something could ever effect docked, is it?

If you use your joy cons docked I don't see why not.

I mean is it a thing where the joysticks being on the switch while it's dock could cause an effect? I haven't looked into this much. I haven't taken the Switch off the dock since setup.

Yeah, I noticed I had it last week playing Pokemon. Screwing around with the sticks helped, but it still happens occasionally.

so they say they send instructions on how to send in the joycon but they didnt send anything but the shipping label and instructions to follow the instructions that don't exist.

Do I send in both joycons, or just the drifting joycon or what?

Send in as little as necessary. Instructions were all on their support website when I did it.
