As a carless man, I mean I guess. It's my choice not to drive so I guess it's their choice if that's okay.

"Fair" has nothing to do with it. There are no protected classes in romance.

If the person doesn't need a car cause they can walk, bike or take transit to work I'm cool with it. If they can't afford a car then that also makes sense. If they live a life spending like crazy and are bust then it's an issue.

It probably sounds like shallow reason to reject someone at first, but the impracticality of not having a car will eventually set in and breed annoyance and resentment. So at least be honest and lay it out there as an issue, see where the discussion goes.

If the person constantly needs rides everywhere it can be an issue. My ex wife didn't have a car until roughly a year prior to us breaking up. It never bothered me. She worked a walking distance. Now her and her new man share a car.

This is the reason I haven't had my cars hood repainted since the clear coat started peeling. Keeps me away from money grabbers and show outs.

Edit: If a man should have his own ride due to money/circumstances then that should be a top priority though to work on. I can understand someone saying "but he isn't even trying". I get it.

Well keep in mind that both sides doing it doesn't make it right. Both sides cheat, and most people don't think that's "ok".

While you're free to date(or not date) who you want, doing the same shitty thing someone else did to you doesn't even the odds. It just means that another person was being shitty.

That being said, I don't think not dating someone who doesn't have reliable transportation is a poor reason itself.

Yup.

It's not shallow because in our society it's almost imperative to survival. Especially if you live in the country and your job is 20-50+ miles away. Females look for security in a man, which is not being shallow it's an intelligently designed instinct so the offspring have maximum chance of survival. Just like how we mostly go for good looks on a female...it's not being shallow, it's just the desire to spread the very best genetics possible.
