That in itself isn't illegal. However anything that is illegal, you can become accessory to if you know about it and don't report it as a crime. Even on a web forum.

You don't need to actively pursue happiness, but you can't just let **** happen: you do need to consider what you can be content with, out of the options available to you at a given moment. And if you can't be content with any of the available options, then you may need to pursue something you can be content with for a little while. Do not neglect that, if it comes up.

Also, this won't work forever. If you're traumatized or grieving, you can fall back on this for a little while if that's what you need to do to survive, and you can get a few months out of it. Maybe a few years, if you're lucky. But if you go for too long, there's an identity crisis waiting at the end, and that isn't pretty stuff.

But honestly, I do not recommend this strategy at all, if you can avoid it. Better to speak to a therapist. You'll need to eventually anyway, so better to do it now.
