- Locked myself out of my house this morning
- Had to be at work for a 10am important conference call looking like I had rolled out of bed, because I basically had
- Got a call from the mechanic about my car around 11.30 - it needs new injectors, will cost a cool 1500
- Drove home (I'm borrowing my parents car) to see what I could do about being locked out
- Spent my entire lunch break trying to get back into my house through the letterbox
- 45 minutes and one scratched to shit arm later, get back in
- Elderly neighbours helped me out so I spent 25 minutes sitting in their living room drinking tea and discussing cats
- Drove back to work
- On the way I hear an almighty thud and lose all control of the car, start skidding out
- After managing to get it under control and pulling over, I inspect what happened
- The rear axle snapped off. Like it just snapped clean off on one side.
- Called roadside assistance, put on hold for 30 minutes
- "We're very busy today, someone will be with you in 2-3 hours"
- It starts raining
- It's november in Scotland and it's raining and it's unsafe to stay in the car

I'm home now. Two written off cars and needing a new door and bone frozen. Fantastic.

Hah, it's a 2003 Ford Fiesta. A new axle would cost 5x the amount of the car. I'll help them buy a new car but I wouldn't say its my fault either. I didn't hit a pothole or anything. It just randomly snapped.

Upon closer inspection the axle was completely rotted through, how that wasn't picked up on on the last MOT I have no idea.

I keep a set of spare keys at the office for this exact purpose. However I had just happened to take them home on friday to lend to someone who was staying over. Heh, I should have included that detail.

I got you beat. I forgot my laptop at home and had to get a loaner. The IT guy is nice and personable and delivered the loaner lap top quickly. I filled out the survey and gave him the highest marks for the service he provided. And Im a bit sore from work I did over the weekend.

Worst. Day. Ever.

Those MFers now charge for recycling. Note recycling centers have gone down in 20 years, especially with the known destruction of the earth.

I put down a cat a month ago

my dad nearly died of sepsis.

I work on a goddamn assembly line with a demented 61 y/o tandem partner.
