I think there's an important lesson to be learned there. Here was this kid who let a deformity define him, but going to Cobra Kai gave him the confidence to "flip the script" as it were and become something badass, not defined by a lip deformity.

Sure by season 2 he started to go the other way into too much of an asshole territory, but... if he never went to cobra kai, he would have continued to be a meek little kid. I wouldn't say cobra kai is right, or that the concept of "toughening up" is right, but definitely being more assertive is good.

More analysis I've noticed. Robbie really is Johnny's son. Much as the show tried to show a reversal, of Miguel being the bad guy and Robbie being the good guy, in the moment that counts it was Robbie that did the bad thing and Miguel that showed mercy, showing their true colors in that moment.

Just like Johnny with Ali, Robbie was crazy over a girl and did something borderline psychotic because he really liked her and was jealous of even the thought of her being with anyone else. Intentional or not, that was something I picked up on.

Man, I love this show so much. Can't wait for the third season. I'm hoping that they maybe get Yuji Okumoto to reprise his role as Chozen.

I've never seen Karate Kid 2. I've seen 1 and 3, and even *shudder* the latest one before this, that hilary swank spinoff *retches*

And yet I've never seen the one where they go to japan. Wondering if I should take the time to see it.

And yeah, Karate Kid 2 is a pretty solid movie

Its seems clear to me that Cobra Kai will continue to act out of control under the leadership of Kreese which will force Daniel and Johnny to join forces by reopening Miyago-do and taking his students down

Disagree, I think it will be 3 factions, kreese, miyagi do, and johnny. Which will make it even more interesting. But miguel falling and having his back broken is just way too depressing for the kind of show this was.

Hawk's pretty unlikable, but he's meant to be. He's that "ghost of Christmas future" message to anyone that is or knows someone like his old persona: either you help them find some positivity in their life, or someone worse will.

As for the future of the show I don't know if Daniel and Johnny will get it together for the 3rd season, but I do think big plan is that they learn to work together and find their balance in each other. Cobra Kai is obviously at best a bull in a china shop, destroying without intent, and at worst, monsters, both needing Myagi Do to help find peace and purpose. Daniel on the other hand, to be very fair, hasn't won many fights that didn't involve a ref and points, and is almost afraid of showing the strength needed to end a fight before too much damage is done. Hence the fight at school went on as long as it did until it ended the only way it could. His side needs to learn to show enough strength to defend themselves and others, rather than a style devoted so much to defense.

Granted I don't see them getting there in another season. They'd end the series there if anything, so I expect it to be dragged out a bit.

Also, yes, watch Karate Kid 2. I won't call it the better movie, but I do prefer to watch it than the first.

Yeah, definitely see Karate Kid II. It's full of classic moments and I might prefer it to the first, though it's close.

Yeah I think his character is a lot more complicated to be defined by just being likable or unlikable. It's basically what the whole show is about, bullied become the bullies, who's right in how one views the world strictly by meek pansies vs overly aggressive assholes, etc etc

It does but the show is all about soul searching and being re-born into something/someone else despite it's entire background is a zombie apocalypse. Literally almost all the characters in the show goes through a revolutionary change.

I'm sure you guys will find the characters very relatable as you would with karate kid.
