Current Events > I like Breath of Fire 3 but not Breath of Fire 4.

4 literally feels like a step back in everything with recycled assets. I like 3s cast and dislike 4s. I dont like the back and forth or even the antagonist at all in 4.

This is just my opinion but considering how similar the games are in general i find it odd i really like 3 but not 4.

But also, i like 1 and 2 equally and more than 3. Most people dont care too much for the snes games.

And ive owned Dragon Quarter for many years, never played. Sealed. Dunno when ill get around to it.

thats a pretty common and mundane opinion, people usually like one or the other

.liking 1 over 3 i utterly bizarre though, especially if you cant read japanese so you're playing the version where all the dialogue and menu/item text is trunicated

Dragon Quarter is weird but after beating it like 3 times or so it really grew on me and it's actually a really good game.

It got to a point where I could easily clear out the whole place + optional objectives in less than 4 hours. The trick is to just not use the dragon on b anything except these 3 (+1 final boss, +2 forced transformations) very specific bosses that are otherwise extremely time-consuming.

I'm the same way. BoF was a generic RPG with a unique world and hook to the protag. I love BoF2, though. I only beat BoF3 2 years ago.

BoF2 is my least favorite. I love the story and characters but they took the most interesting part from the first game and made it stupid as hell.

I prefer 4 mainly for the antagonist. I'm a sucker for that whole type of dynamic. Honestly, the bulk of 3 and 4 kind of jumble together in my head though. It's a series that I like but the overall generic stories kind of blend together.

I hate the story and the parts you switch your main. I guess i found him boring and also stop doing this with a silent protag. Failed in Crono Cross as well. And i like Crono cross but the main had an evil "rival" that was dumb cause of main beibg a silent protag.
