In the current political climate, certain members of the far right seems to be pulling a very interesting tactic from their playbook: pretending to care about mental health, self-love, and mindfulness.... in the context of not being "angry" at the status quo, despite what it currently represents.
I think it is intellectually dishonest and shows how the right is willing to gaslight those who disagree as simply needing to "let go" of their anger. This being said I've been focusing on mindfulness for myself, but noticed an uptick in this phenomenon from those I know on the opposite side of the political fence. It's a disturbing tactic that I unfortunately think is going to work because it appeals to themes that liberals frequently utilize in their arguments and discussions. --- uwu SW-0239-3946-8686 ... I bought a book on 250 ways to become calm. Admittedly I havent been practicing as much and I feel it in my spirit, but I hope that I can get back on track quickly :)

So much of politics is just trying to wrangle stupid people. I'm not really sure what to do for people who can fall for falsehoods like that. It takes exponentially more work to see through bullshit than it does to just produce it.
