Best Show

Want to watch some western animation. Always heard good things about these shows. Characters, story, over all writing.

If these aren't the best to offer then what is?

Regular Show > Steven Universe > Adventure Time

Regular Show is my favorite animated show, possibly my favorite show period.

I've only seen some of Adventure Time and Regular Show, and between the two, I prefer Regular Show just because it has the kind of humor and situations that an older audience can relate to while being absurd enough for younger viewers

but from what I've gathered, AT's backstory is apparently pretty expansive and interesting.

Regular Show tbh

would also recommend The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, that's another one that's good, but it doesn't really get mentioned often

Adventure Time and Steven Universe are mostly just fun, silly shows in the beginning, they just kind of slowly pull back the curtain on their respective worlds to reveal much more complex situations(and plot lines).
It bears noting that there's a lot of overlap as far as writing staff of both shows. Rebecca Sugar, SU's creator, worked on AT first(for example, she wrote Marceline's songs) and a lot of AT people migrated over to SU after AT ended.
SU is the only one of the three shows that's still going(in the form of Steven Universe Future, which is meant to wrap things up and set after the movie).

I honestly never watched a lot of Regular Show, but it seemed pretty good.

Regular Show>Adventure Time

But pretty close. Regular Show had the better ending imo and hit harder than Adventure Time ever did. The lore in Adventure Time is top notch tho. Never gave Steven Universe a chance but I might watch it eventually.

Adventure Time came first, in April 2010. Then Regular Show aired in September 2010. Finally, Steven Universe first aired May 21, 2013.

For me I would rank them Steven Universe> Regular Show> Adventure Time. However, Steven Universe's first season takes a really long time before it finally gets good so you might be tempted to give up on it. All of these shows are good though

The main characters of regular show are in their mid 20s and the show has a decent amount of adult humor in it. These shows are definitely for all ages

Yeah, it'll be like that for a while. It doesn't get really good for a bit, but the slow burn start really pays off in terms of familiarizing you with everyone and what their deal is.

I would do it order by release tho so I may put SU on hold

Steven Universe's creator worked on Adventure Time and created a lot of the popular songs from that show, but I don't remember there being any references to it. If you're that worried about it then just watch it in release order like you wanted to

gravity falls is honestly the best in that style of "plot with filler" type shows adventure time really inspired

of the ones ive seen, gravity falls> steven universe> modern ducktales > adventure time > star vs

I'm starting to get into Amphibia thanks to Disney+ but I haven't made up my mind on it yet

I'd say steven universe, when the show isn't wasting its time on the random people in the city. I skipped like half the episodes in each season because there's way too much filler.

I couldn't get into AT because I don't like jake and finn much, but the marceline/ice king subplot is fantastic.

Never seen regular show.
