It really really needs Dead Silence and Awareness as perks, it's just so campy and the footsteps are a huge part of that

The maps encourage camping but at least with dead silence you'd have a shot of making the campers miserable enough to stop

There's usually a counter to dead silence, and campers will just make that part of their loadout. It would hopefully take the spot of another important perk.

Right, they'd still probably all take Awareness but at least they'd have to give up Amped or something for it. Maybe some of them wouldn't take it. I dunno. Either way it'd be better than it is currently

They should lower the global footstep volume and make Awareness take it to where it is now. Put the perk in slot 2 so the campers have to pick between hearing footsteps with Awareness or replenishing claymores with Restock.

I still like playing Gunfight and Spec Ops but until they do the Battle Royale or bring back retro maps I'm done with it too as far as the regular multiplayer.

The maps are wayyy too wide open for the fast paced gameplay. If I wanted to get shot by some prick from his spawn spot 200 yards away I'd just play BF4.

Also the characters blend into the background a lot of times too easily. In Hardcore there are no red names at all so if they camp you're probably gonna die.

I understand that it is possible to flush out campers with perks and equipment but I've never been a fan of games that rely on a setup that revolves around flushing out campers.

I meant choosing between Awareness or claymores. Most of the people using Dead Silence are the people actually moving around and not camping with claymores, because campers don't need to make their footsteps silent if they never move.
