North - sun is out for a lot longer in the summer and a lot shorter in the winter
South - the time the sun is out is closer to equal throughout the year
Central - average of north and south

East - Sun is out earlier and sets earlier during the time people are generally awake
West - Sun is out later and sets later during the time people are generally awake
